The Bitcoin ecosystem in 2025 looks very promising, but I am more concerned about the underlying infrastructure that supports it. For example, layer 2 applications and BTC-Fi projects are like skyscrapers on the ground; what I focus on is the dark, sunless basement beneath them — without this infrastructure, everything goes dark in a second.
This infrastructure is the oracle network. I not only believe in this sector but am also personally involved in building a decentralized oracle project. This is not just a financial bet; it’s a conviction in the value of infrastructure.
Why are oracles so critical? Looking at the current market makes it clear. The era of storytelling and hype around concepts is coming to an end; what truly matters is who can build reliable foundational infrastructure. Especially as Bitcoin layer 2 solutions and various BTC derivative applications begin to explode, a fundamental question emerges: how to enable Bitcoin to move safely and efficiently within complex financial applications?
Traditional oracle solutions are inadequate. They are like a radio broadcasting periodically, with high latency and unstable signals. The new generation of oracles should equip each chain and protocol with real-time sensory nerves. Through decentralized node networks, they translate off-chain price data instantly into forms that the Bitcoin network can understand and trust. For protocols that require high-frequency, precise clearing—like lending and derivatives—this is not a bonus; it’s a necessity for survival.
In ecosystems like Ethereum, oracles have already become standard infrastructure. The Bitcoin ecosystem has reached this critical point. Whoever can occupy this position first will hold the future discourse power.
