#稳定币发展趋势 Interactive Brokers opens stablecoin funding, Jupiter's JupUSD is about to launch, Solana expects 1 to 10 trillion USD stablecoins on-chain......Seeing these news, my first reaction is not excitement, but caution.
Having gone through multiple cycles, I have learned a painful lesson: whenever mainstream narratives become loud, it is often the most hidden risks. Stablecoins are indeed becoming mainstream, but we need to ask a few questions—why now? Who is driving this? What are the underlying incentives?
Traditional financial giants' deployment of stablecoins is not for revolution, but for control. Interactive Brokers allowing stablecoin funding sounds convenient, but essentially it is guiding on-chain funds back into the Wall Street ecosystem. Those claims of "expanding rather than replacing the dollar" should be more cautious—this is the standard tactic for big institutions to eat retail investors' profits.
Jupiter launching JupUSD on Solana, planning to convert $750 million USDC—such large liquidity migrations often hide early participants' cash-out opportunities. The initial phase of a new stablecoin's launch has the best liquidity and the easiest price manipulation, and this time window is often when whales harvest profits.
My simple advice: observe rather than follow the trend. Let the bullets fly for a while, and decide after seeing the usage ecosystem and risk events of these stablecoins three months later. Those who stay on-chain longer never chase the first wave—the first wave is often cannon fodder.
