Abstract generation in progress

【BlockBeats】A major exchange recently published a blacklist of “listing agents,” involving seven entities: BitABC, Central Research, May/Dannie, Andrew Lee, Suki Yang, Fiona Lee, Kenny Z. The exchange emphasized that this list is not exhaustive and investors should be wary of any so-called “agents” claiming to help projects get listed.

According to publicly available information, these exposed entities have diverse backgrounds but all act as suspicious intermediaries between project teams and exchanges.

BitABC is a crypto consulting and incubation firm that claims to specialize in project promotion, community building, liquidity incentives, and market advisory services, asserting that they can help crypto projects gain early exposure on trading platforms.

May/Dannie is the most complex group. May Liu and her team previously operated Spark Digital Capital—under the guise of VC investment, but in reality engaged in market outsourcing and FA services, obtaining free tokens through VC-funded projects. As industry competition intensified, project teams became unwilling to provide tokens for free, prompting Spark to pivot to an incubator role, establishing the Web3Port platform to package projects and connect them with VC funding, taking a 1-3% token share. This “listing brokerage pipeline” evolved from Spark to Web3Port and then to Whisper.

Suki Yang is a crypto quantitative trader and investor, formerly worked at Pantera Capital, and has held positions at CertiK, Hyype, among other crypto platforms. She also founded Lmao.fun, a Meme launch platform on Solana.

Andrew Lee has been active in the blockchain industry for years, involved in projects like Handshake and Purse.io, suspected of project promotion or acting as an intermediary.

Fiona Lee and Kenny Z have limited public information, but based on clues, they may work as project consultants, listing coordinators, or project contacts.

Central Research is likely a crypto research or consulting organization, though its specific operational model has not been disclosed.

This blacklist release from the exchange sends a clear signal—any “agents” claiming to guarantee project listings should be approached with caution. Such intermediaries siphon off fees at every stage from project fundraising, packaging, connection, to final listing, creating hidden costs for projects and investors.

The blacklist has once again been updated, this time directly naming seven? Hey, it's about time to crack down on these "listing agents." They really dare to claim they can handle exchanges, huh? Fortunately, it was exposed early, or else another wave of retail investors would have been exploited. Wait, is the list incomplete? How many more are lurking in the darkness? These intermediaries are truly outrageous, just relying on fooling project teams to make a living. Investors, be more cautious; there are no shortcuts.

Damn, the blacklist was released a bit late, so many people have already been scammed.

It's about time to regulate these intermediaries; they cheat project teams out of their money every day.

This blacklist is probably just the tip of the iceberg; there are many more real scammers out there.

ngl, the "not a complete list" disclaimer is the most honest thing exchanges say these days... there's probably 50 more names they're just not publishing lol

Damn, only 7 people on the blacklist? Feels like just the tip of the iceberg... --- The trick of listing agents is completely played out; there's always a new disguise to scam the newcomers. --- The people at BitABC are really disgusting; I've heard about their stuff before. --- The claim that the blacklist is incomplete is even more ridiculous; it implies there are many more. --- Who are May/Dannie? Has anyone been scammed by them? --- I just want to know how much money these intermediaries have actually stolen from project teams. --- It's the same old story; it needs to be exposed once a month for it to stop. --- Finally, the exchange has woken up, but it feels a bit late. --- Honestly, projects that truly want to get listed probably don't need agents at all; these people are just playing with information asymmetry.
