Why have centralized platforms that control traffic become the paradise for scammers?

Big platforms claim to crack down on fraud, yet they make a fortune from these illegal ads. On the surface, they set up so-called "anti-fraud taxes" or review mechanisms, but in reality? They are just for show. Scammers still run fake ads and scam users on these platforms, while the platform profits from it—collecting review fees on one side and ad fees on the other, double dipping.

The real irony is that as platforms get richer, more users get scammed. This is not a bug; it's a feature. As long as scam content can generate advertising revenue, the platform's motivation to stop it is very limited. So don't expect centralized platforms to genuinely fight fraud—because that would mean earning less.

This is also why more and more people believe that decentralized, transparent mechanisms are actually more trustworthy. At least there, no one can secretly get rich off fraudulent ads.
