Lying flat comes in two types:

One is never having stood up, moved, or exerted effort—completely lazy and inactive lying flat.
This is simply a self-righteous way of justifying one's own incompetence and lack of effort by stealing the term lying flat.
Basically, this kind of lying flat is from the lower class, often caused by a lack of role models, poor upbringing, or the influence of exemplary figures.

The other kind of lying flat is after effort and struggle, after discovering various ceilings, happily doing subtraction, letting go, and settling into the present life.
This is true lying flat—a happiness of ordinary people.
