Just ran a little experiment on Base today. We decided to test out their fresh custom pairing feature – sounds fancy, but basically you can now pair your token with whatever you want.

So here's what went down: we each launched a gm cast coin, then linked them both to our mini app's native token. Mine got the ticker $PAIRED (yeah, I know, on the nose). My buddy went with $ACOPPIATO – that's Italian for "paired" or "coupled," bit more creative if you ask me.

Pretty smooth process actually. The feature works exactly as advertised. Could open up some interesting liquidity options for projects building on Base, especially smaller apps looking to bootstrap their token ecosystems without relying on the usual suspects.
