According to a TechFlow report on June 16, a Democratic senator introduced legislation on Monday to prevent Trump from using military force against Iran without congressional authorization. Currently, the fighting between Israel and Iran is escalating, raising concerns about a broader conflict. For years, Tim Kaine from Virginia has been trying to reclaim Congress's war powers from the White House. During Trump's first term, in 2020, Kaine proposed a similar resolution to curb Trump's ability to wage war on Iran. This measure was passed in both the Senate and the House, garnering some support from Republicans, but did not receive enough votes to withstand a veto from the Republican president.
