[Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang: Buying Bitcoin at $200 or $300, once invested in ByteDance] Renowned investment podcast Invest Like the Best streamer Patrick O’Shaughnessy conducted a Depth interview with Matt Huang, co-founder of the investment firm Paradigm in the cryptocurrency space. He revealed that he wrote a check to ByteDance at a valuation of $20-30 million, which was his largest personal investment at the time. As ByteDance’s value has now reached $200-300 billion, his investment has risen approximately 10,000 times, and he still holds the majority of his shares. In addition, Matt Huang stated that he bought Bitcoin when it was at 200 or 300 dollars, then it rose to 1000 dollars, then dropped to 600 dollars, and then slowly began to decline from there. Ultimately, he became fascinated with Bitcoin and strongly felt that it would be one of the most important technological economic trends of the coming decades. He also revealed that the worst thing in the history of Paradigm was investing in FTX, which ultimately deceived him.
