OCC GENIUS Act Comment Window Closes May 1

The OCC will close its GENIUS Act comment window on May 1, leaving U.S. banks four days to respond to a 376-page proposed stablecoin rule. The proposal sets reserve, custody, capital, and supervisory requirements and uses a two-tier licensing system with a $10 billion threshold for federal oversight.
