US Media: US Extension of Ceasefire with Iran is Not 'Indefinite'

On April 22, according to a report by the American Axios news website, President Trump announced that the extension of the ceasefire would not be ‘indefinite.’ He is providing Iranian parties with a ‘brief window’ to ‘unite’ and propose a unified plan. The report cites American sources saying that Trump is willing to extend the ceasefire for another 3 to 5 days ‘to allow Iran to sort things out,’ but the ceasefire will not be extended indefinitely. The report states that US negotiating representatives believe that reaching an agreement with Iran is still possible. It also mentions that Trump held an emergency meeting with his national security team on the afternoon of the 21st, and several US officials and Trump’s aides believe that Trump will not restart the war before exhausting all other options.
