Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 26 — Evan Tangeman, a 22-year-old resident of California, was sentenced to 70 months in prison on Friday for participating in a crime that involved social engineering scams and home invasions to steal approximately $263 million in cryptocurrency from victims.



According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Tangeman pleaded guilty in December 2025 to related charges and admitted to assisting members of the criminal organization in laundering at least $3.5 million in illegal funds. The DOJ stated that in addition to imprisonment, he was sentenced to three years of supervised release.
