Women’s aesthetic standards are generally very poor.
Ugly concerts, ugly music festivals, ugly stand-up comedy, ugly TV dramas/variety shows—among the mainstream audience are mostly women, and in some cases they make up over 80%, overwhelming everyone else in numbers.
Good events to attend are very okay too—for example, a bad singer’s concert. No matter who it is, it seems like the tickets are snatched up as soon as they’re released.
TV dramas/variety shows have always been so bad, because the main viewers are women; many male viewers have already pulled out.
I feel that many women aren’t there to watch the works. First, they see handsome guys. Second, they want to feel a kind of festive atmosphere. Whether the work is good or not isn’t important. Third, it’s worship of power—when they see someone famous and influential, they go after them and admire them.
Maybe my observation is wrong.
