Aave, in collaboration with ether.fi, Kelp DAO, LayerZero, and Compound, among other DeFi protocols, has officially submitted governance proposals to the Arbitrum DAO, requesting the release of ETH previously frozen by the Arbitrum Security Council due to the rsETH security incident on April 18. If the proposal is approved, these funds will be injected into a cross-protocol coordination recovery plan called "DeFi United," aimed at restoring rsETH's asset backing and repairing losses suffered by affected users. Aave stated that, while other participants confirm their commitments, the release of these funds will significantly advance the final resolution of the incident. The proposal is currently open for review and feedback from the Arbitrum community.
