**Trump Calls on U.S. Navy to Shoot Ships Placing Mines in the Strait of Hormuz**
U.S. President (AS) Donald Trump ordered the (AL) U.S. Navy to shoot and destroy every Iranian ship that lays mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
“I have instructed the U.S. Navy to shoot and destroy every ship, no matter how small, that places mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There must be no doubt,” Trump posted on his Truth Social, on Thursday (23/04).
In addition, U.S. mine-clearing ships are currently clearing the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that 159 units have already been destroyed and are at the bottom of the sea, and he asked that this activity be carried out three times as often.
As for the U.S., it acknowledges that its military has taken control of the Strait of Hormuz and that it is being tightly sealed until Iran reaches an agreement with the Trump Administration.
