XChat Officially Launches on App Store with End-to-End Encryption and Deep Integration of Grok

On April 25, X platform (formerly Twitter) launched its independent messaging app XChat on the App Store, allowing users to download and start using it. XChat is currently available on iOS, with an Android version set to follow soon. It is reported that XChat allows users to log in directly with their X account, without the need for a phone number or email. The app employs end-to-end encryption, ensuring that messages are only visible to the two parties involved and cannot be read by the platform; it also supports self-destructing messages and file transfers. Additionally, XChat features deep integration with xAI’s Grok intelligent assistant, enabling users to summon Grok for questions, generate images, and summarize content directly within the chat interface without switching apps.
