U.S. military actions against Iran could constitute war crimes
Over 100 international law experts across the United States issued a joint open letter on April 2nd stating that U.S. strikes against Iran violate the United Nations Charter and may constitute war crimes. The letter said that many international law experts have concluded that the actions of Israel and the United States violate the United Nations Charter, and there is no evidence that Iran poses an imminent threat to the United States. The experts believe that the actions of the U.S. military and the statements of U.S. senior officials could violate international human rights law and international humanitarian law, and may constitute war crimes. The letter also mentioned the attack on a primary school in Minab, Iran, describing the attack on schools, medical facilities, and residences as concerning. (CCTV News)
