National Intellectual Property Administration: Artificial Intelligence, Chips, Brain-Computer Interfaces Included in "Fast Protection" Channel
Mars Finance News, April 24 — According to a press release, Guo Wen, spokesperson for the National Intellectual Property Administration and Director of the Department of Intellectual Property Protection, stated today that efforts will be made from three aspects: systems, services, and applications, to build a “protection network” for innovation in emerging fields. Guo Wen explained that having systems in place is not enough; innovation entities must also be able to “use” them. The National Intellectual Property Administration has further optimized patent examination policies, offering multiple channels such as priority review and expedited review. As of now, a total of 890 items related to new industries and formats like big data and artificial intelligence have been publicly disclosed, effectively addressing practical issues such as the lack of corresponding projects for trademark registration in emerging fields and unclear protection boundaries. More notably, 82 national-level intellectual property protection centers have been established across the country, covering cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, quantum technology, and brain-computer interfaces, effectively meeting the needs of innovation entities for “fast protection.” (China.com)
