I almost sent myself away just now... I accidentally added an extra character while copying the address, and the page still calmly displayed "Sent/Confirmed," which made me feel cold inside.
A few minutes later, I switched to another RPC and opened a different block explorer to check: it wasn't on the chain at all, it was just slow indexing/node synchronization on my side, like watching a delayed live broadcast.
To put it simply, you think you're looking at the "truth on the chain," but you might actually be viewing a cache from a service provider and their mood.
Recently, the AI Agent auto-trading system has been hyped up a lot, but now I'm more concerned: which RPC is it reading, what index is it using, and who’s covering the fallback if it crashes?
If security isn’t taken seriously, in the end, the one who takes the blame is always human fingers...
Anyway, before I do any important operation in the future, I’ll double-check and switch sources to avoid being scared out of my wits by a "delayed on-chain" update.
