Mars Finance News, April 22—Russia’s mainstream media outlet Rossiyskaya Gazeta recently published an article saying that Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) models have become the most popular open-source solutions worldwide. On the internationally known open-source platform “Hugging Face,” downloads of Chinese open-source AI models have surpassed those of U.S. models, reflecting that the global landscape of AI development is undergoing a shift. The report cites Dmitry Soshnikov, an associate professor at the Russian National Research University Higher School of Economics, as saying that China has long prioritized developing an open-source ecosystem, which is an important reason why China’s AI models are widely used across all kinds of projects. In recent years, China’s AI models have been accelerating their technical catch-up and have become a highly competitive force in the field. ( Xinhua News Agency )
