Portal launches Portal 2.0, shifting towards an AI-native game creation platform supported by Animoca Brands

ME News, April 21 (UTC+8), cross-chain gaming platform Portal announced the launch of Portal 2.0. This update is led by a new leadership team supported by Animoca Brands, with former Ubisoft game director Benjamin Charbit appointed as CEO. Portal shifts its strategic focus toward AI-native tools and creator-first workflows, aiming to enable non-developer users to create through AI-driven game development. The toolset launched by Portal includes: Portal Studio, a virtual workspace for Agent collaboration; Portal GameRouter, an API interface for managing Agents, assets, and pipelines. Additionally, Portal will soon release Portal GameGen, which supports prompt-based game generation, and launch the monetization platform Portal GameHub. In terms of token economics, Portal plans to use revenue generated from its AI tools to regularly buy back PORTAL tokens. PORTAL holders will enjoy early access, premium tool usage rights, and voting rights. Previously, Portal completed a merger with BLIFE Protocol in December 2025, and its core team is now mainly composed of representatives from Animoca Brands. (Source: Foresight News)
