The three major U.S. stock indices opened collectively higher, with performance diverging in the early trading session. As of the early trading period, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.5%, the S&P 500 Index climbed 0.28%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index inched up 0.27%.



In individual stocks, UnitedHealth (UNH.N) led the rally by a wide margin, gaining 9.4%, mainly boosted by its first-quarter earnings results exceeding market expectations. Amazon (AMZN.O) rose 2.1%, after the company previously announced that it would deepen its strategic partnership with the artificial intelligence company Anthropic, further ramping up its AI-focused plans.
