Abstract generation in progress

Booking.com’s 11th annual research report on consumer attitudes towards sustainable travel highlights a generational paradox: while younger generations express stronger intentions for sustainable travel, older generations (Boomers and Gen X) are more likely to take concrete actions. The study, involving 32,500 travelers, also reveals that extreme weather is significantly influencing travel plans across all age groups, with many avoiding affected destinations or canceling trips. Travelers are increasingly adopting behaviors such as avoiding crowds, traveling off-peak, and seeking accommodations with sustainability certifications.
