Japanese semiconductor giant Kioxia: The strong earthquake did not damage its factories; production continues as usual

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred off the northeastern coast of Japan on the 20th, affecting several semiconductor industry hubs in Japan. Japan’s major semiconductor manufacturer Kioxia issued a statement on the 21st, saying that the buildings and facilities at the company’s Kitakami factory were not damaged, and the Kitakami factory is operating normally. Tokyo Electron (TEL) announced on Monday that two nearby company factories are operating normally.
