The Arbitrum Security Council has frozen 30,766 ETH (worth approximately $71 million) related to the rsETH attack on Kelp DAO and transferred the funds to a wallet controlled by the management team.
This emergency measure was implemented after consultations with law enforcement and will not affect other Arbitrum users or applications. The measure prevents the original miners from accessing the frozen funds.
This asset freeze recovered about a quarter of the stolen assets and intensified disputes between Kelp and LayerZero bridge provider regarding responsibility for the network attack and how to share the remaining losses.
