The President of the United States (AS) Donald Trump said Iran would suffer losses of US$500 million or around Rp8.5 trillion every day if they do not reach an agreement with him.
This could happen because U.S. military forces are still blocking the Strait of Hormuz, and this will continue until Iran reaches the agreement.
“Most importantly, the blockade, which we will not lift until a ‘deal’ is truly reached, will destroy Iran. They are losing 500 million dollars a day, an unsustainable figure, even in the short term,” he said, citing his Truth Social account, Tuesday (21/04).
Trump also claimed that he, along with U.S. military forces, has fully won the war by a significant margin.
For your information, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei plans not to attend the second round of negotiations with the U.S. in Pakistan. This could increase tensions between the two.
