Recently, I found something quite annoying: unrealized losses affect sleep more than unrealized gains. Even though I haven't sold anything, when I see red, I tell myself I have good judgment; when I see green, I start imagining all kinds of bad endings. Sometimes I even get up in the middle of the night to check the chain... Basically, it's loss aversion acting up—when I incur a loss, it feels like I owe someone money, and I can't get it out of my mind.
Now I don't really look at candlestick charts anymore; I focus on real "signals": like suddenly seeing a bunch of unfamiliar addresses bouncing back and forth, or a pool's funds being sucked out and then spit back in with a strange rhythm. Recently, AI agents and automated trading have become popular again. Anyone can talk about the narrative, but I care more about whether their on-chain interactions are opening too many permissions. Security details that no one pays attention to can be deadly. Anyway, I’d rather earn a little less than risk losing sleep over a single mistaken authorization that ruins my rest.
