I just looked at last week's US unemployment benefit data and found it interesting. The number of new claims was 207,000, below the expected 213,000. These unemployment benefit numbers are often an important thermometer for the health of the US labor market. The decrease compared to the estimate may suggest that the market is a bit more resilient than previously thought. It's always good to keep an eye on these economic indicators, especially when they come in lower than expected.
