How Fed rate cuts affect crypto prices:

In March 2020, the Fed cut 150bps within 2 weeks, which started a massive bull market
- Bitcoin bottom ~3.7k was March 13
- Final 100bps rate cut was March 15
13 months later, Bitcoin was $64,000
Crypto topped right when the Fed flipped hawkish and started signaling rate hikes in Nov 2022
Yes, crypto can rally when rates are high, but historically:
- rate cuts: price go up
- rate hikes: price go down
Most of the time, it’s once there’s a signal that rates will drop or hike, even months in advance. That’s when moves start happening
