Honestly, many people think that clicking "Confirm" is the end of it, but in reality, the transaction is just queued in the mempool. During congestion, you're basically competing with a bunch of people for a spot in line: if gas is low, you wait patiently; as you wait, you might get bumped by someone else; if gas is set too high, it feels like a slap in the face, especially when slippage is large—your transaction goes through, but your mood is instantly shattered.

What's more annoying is that during the queuing process, you'll experience classic frustrations like "I clearly submitted it, why is there no response?" or "Why did it suddenly fail and still deduct fees?"... Anyway, the chain doesn't owe you timely processing.

Recently, with AI Agents and automated trading, there's been a lot of hype, but not many people are really focused on security. Once automation kicks in, if mempool congestion or retry strategies go haywire, you might not even have time to hit cancel or accelerate. I’m not sure when a big accident might happen, but at least right now: during congestion, avoid acting; if you must trade, keep your position small and don’t push yourself.
