Last night I got itchy again and listed a few NFTs at floor price. The hot ones had a bunch of pending orders, but not many actual sales—feeling like everyone’s just waiting for someone else to take the plunge... For me, this kind of market heats up and I melt; when I saw the community narrative coming back after a shout, I almost jumped in, but then I remembered the pain of chasing highs last time, and I pulled back. Recently, the testnet incentives and points system have been pretty addictive too, with people constantly asking whether the mainnet will issue tokens, which keeps everyone's attention diverted.
Honestly, NFT liquidity now heavily depends on sentiment: the floor seems stable, but when the royalty cuts happen, people start saying “it’s easier to sell,” yet when community narratives cool down, no one cares whether royalties go up or down; when narratives heat up, even higher royalties are seen as just a ticket. Anyway, I’d rather buy less now, don’t be too confident about listed orders—if you can run, run; don’t treat “community consensus” as cash flow.
