LST+ re-staking—so this yield is really a gift from the sky?

To put it bluntly, that’s unlikely. The money has to come from somewhere: either the steady interest from underlying staking, or protocol subsidies, points/airdrop expectations—and stacking on top of that gets even more like “sentiment premium.” When the hype is hot, everyone thinks they’re the top grinder. Recently, people have been arguing about whether shared security is just a trap; my understanding is: security can be shared, but risk is also shared—sometimes even amplified. If smart contracts blow up, if de-pegging happens and everything suddenly shakes, or if withdrawal queues get clogged, the yield hasn’t even warmed up before it turns into meme fodder. Anyway, whenever I see “stacked yields,” I ask myself one thing first: am I really earning interest, or am I betting that someone else will take over my expected upside? That’s it for now—don’t go too hard.
