Smartly choose from 30+ AI models, with 0% extra fees
1. Spot (this is what you’re doing right now)
- Use 2000U to buy; if the coin goes up, you profit, and if it drops, you lose
- Even if it drops by 90%, your coin is still there, and you still have 200U
- As long as the coin doesn’t run away and doesn’t go to zero, there’s always a chance it will rise back
- No need to worry about liquidation, no need to watch the order book, and no need to pay funding fees
Pros:
- Steady
- You can sleep at night
- You can hold it long-term
Cons:
- Gains are slow, and there’s no leverage to amplify returns
2. Futures (10x, 20x, 100x leverage)
- 2000U with 10x leverage = equivalent to a 20,000U position
- Once the coin drops a little, you get liquidated immediately, and your principal becomes zero in an instant
- Even if you got the direction right, a shakeout in the middle can still wash you out
- You also have to pay: trading fees + funding fees + slippage
Real situation:
- Many people make profit 10 times, but one liquidation and they lose it all back
- Over the long run, 95% of people who trade futures lose money
3. Direct conclusion for you
- If you want to earn steadily and hold long-term: choose spot
- If you want excitement, take a gamble, and get rich quickly: futures—but the probability is you’ll quickly lose everything
If you are:
- A beginner / want to make money long-term
- Don’t want to watch the market every day, or stay up late
- Don’t want to lose all of your principal
Then spot is definitely better.
4. The most practical advice
- Trade spot with a small position; if you profit, it’s real profit—if you lose, you won’t lose it all
- For futures, only hold a tiny portion of your money to try it out—don’t take it seriously
- Almost all of the people who can truly make money are holding spot long-term
If you’re willing, I can help you map out a steadier way to play based on your current funds—one that avoids liquidation and lets you hold long-term.
