You know that feeling when you're trading? Some folks refresh their screens like it's their heartbeat—every couple minutes, checking if that candle flipped green or red. Then there's the other camp: set the stop-loss, lock in the take-profit, close the app, and go touch grass.

Which trading personality fits you? The chart-watcher who needs that dopamine hit from every price tick? Or the set-it-and-forget-it type who trusts the numbers and walks away?

Honestly both have their moments. Active monitoring catches those weird liquidation cascades or sudden news pumps. But constantly staring at 1-minute charts? That's how you end up panic-selling at local bottoms.

Meanwhile automated orders keep emotions out of it. Your strategy executes whether you're sleeping or doomscrolling. No FOMO trades at 3am. No revenge trading after a loss.

Real talk though—most of us probably switch between both depending on market conditions. Volatile altcoin season? Yeah I'm glued to the screen. Slow weekend BTC crab? SL/TP does the heavy lifting.

I've been watching the charts until my eyes hurt, but I still end up accidentally closing my position at the most critical moment. So funny.

I'm still repeatedly taking suicidal stop-losses on the 1-minute chart, so don't even mention me.

1-minute chart addict warning, I’m that crazy person still watching the market at 3am --- Honestly, after staring at the charts for so long, my eyes are about to go blind. Automated stop-loss is still the best. --- Crypto split personality disorder +1. When the market’s wild, my eyes are glued to the screen; when it’s dead, I couldn’t care less. --- The worst is when you set a TP and the price suddenly takes off in the next 5 minutes, watching the profits slip away in real time. --- Automated trading has seriously saved me from so many irrational 3am trades. Grateful. --- Let’s be honest, who doesn’t set an order and then frantically refresh the screen waiting for it to fill? --- The joys and pains of 1-minute candles are just too extreme. I give up resisting. --- Touching grass doesn’t exist. The grass grew legs and walked into my screen. --- When volatility is high, I can’t control my hands; when volatility is low, I still can’t control them. I’m just a phone addict anyway. --- Bear markets are the best detox period. Not being able to check the charts feels amazing.

Uh, I just want to ask, how many people are watching the charts so much that the phone screen is burned into their eyes... Seriously, we should really go touch some grass.

Haha, that's really spot-on. I'm exactly the type who constantly watches the charts during altseason, but when the market is moving sideways, I pretend to be rational.

I'm the type of person who refreshes the screen every 5 minutes, but I only learned to let go after losing a lot, haha.

Watching the market is just like playing with the 1-minute chart, it's all reentrancy vulnerabilities... Automatic SL/TP is the real solution.

Haha, seriously, I'm the type who just can't stop staring at the 1-minute chart... until I lose so much that I start questioning my life.
