Crypto Market Overview

  • BTC (-0.45% | current price 63,745.4 USDT):In the context of risky assets under pressure and cautious incremental buying before the release of the CPI, BTC fluctuated and fell. The hourly moving average is in a bearish arrangement, the short-term EMA is below the medium-term EMA, indicating that the short-term is still under pressure; the MACD negative momentum is still present but showing signs of convergence, the RSI is in a neutral-to-weak area. In terms of the Bollinger Bands, the price is below the middle band and close to the lower band. If the selling pressure increases, it may test the lower band again. The main support level is 63,275 USDT to 63,235 USDT below; the main resistance level is 63,886 USDT to 64,496 USDT above. The 24-hour trading volume of BTC options has decreased by 35.6% to about 9.54 million USDT, and the market trading has cooled down significantly. In the short term, the focus is on the breakthrough direction of the range of 63,172-64,418 USDT. If you stand firm on the upper edge, you can pay attention to the limited risk Call Spread. If you fall below the lower edge, you should be wary of the renewed demand for put end protection.

  • ETH (+0.40% | current price 1,882.76 USDT):In the context of mainstream coin differentiation and relative preference for spot funds, ETH maintains a slight upward trend. The hourly moving average structure is neutral, the daily line is still bullish while the 4-hour structure is weak, indicating a coexistence of short-term repair and medium-term pressure; the short-term EMA is close to the main moving average, the MACD momentum is improving, and the RSI is in the neutral zone. In terms of the Bollinger band, the price is above the middle line but has not yet effectively broken through the upper line, and the continuation of the trend still requires transactional cooperation. The main support zone is from 1,861 USDT to 1,853 USDT below; the main resistance zone is from 1,896 USDT to 1,898 USDT above.

  • Altcoins: Over the past 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market maintained caution before the release of the US CPI, with BTC falling while ETH and GT slightly strengthened. The total market value change was limited. Funds were concentrated in a few low-liquidity tokens and on-chain asset management narratives, with a clear divergence in the gain list. A comprehensive risk appetite expansion has not yet formed. Today, the fear-greed index of the cryptocurrency market was 27, down from 29 the previous day, continuing to be in the "fear" range. The price fluctuation was small and the sentiment was marginally weaker, reflecting that traders are still mainly defensive until the inflation data, interest rate path, and risk asset direction are clear.

ARW Arowana (+136.35%, market cap $15.2 million)

According to Gate market data, ARW is currently trading at 0.07178 USDT, up 136.35% in 24 hours. Arowana belongs to the RWA direction and is deployed in Arbitrum. The project is positioned around the digitization of physical asset value and on-chain circulation.

ARW has not seen any significant announcements in the past 24 hours that could explain the increase alone. This round of increase is mainly driven by the amplification of transactions under low liquidity conditions, the narrative rotation of RWA, and technical breakthroughs. The 24-hour trading volume is significantly lower than that of mainstream assets, and the price has entered a state of overheating after a sharp rise. It remains to be seen whether the depth of transactions and the actual adoption of the project can sustain the increase.

BXN Blackfort (+36.82%, market cap $13.59 million)

According to Gate market data, BXN is currently priced at 0.0003727 USDT, with a 24-hour increase of 36.82%. Blackfort focuses on asset tokenization, identity and compliance tools, and application deployment, with its own network and enterprise-oriented blockchain infrastructure at the core.

BXN also did not see any new independent major announcements in the past 24 hours. The increase was mainly due to the volume and price breakthrough of small-cap assets and the heating up of enterprise-level blockchain narratives. Its short-term momentum has become significantly overheated, and the transaction depth is limited. If new demand and ecological activities do not improve simultaneously in the future, the release of profit-taking may amplify the price pullback.

VELVET Velvet Capital (+34.54%, market cap of $430 million)

According to Gate market data, VELVET is currently priced at 0.58329 USDT, with a 24-hour increase of 34.54%. Velvet Capital provides on-chain asset management infrastructure, supporting the creation of tokenized investment portfolios, strategy vaults, and combinable DeFi asset management products.

The rise of VELVET is mainly driven by the narrative recovery of on-chain asset management and DeFi strategy infrastructure, the expansion of spot trading, and the rapid increase in derivative positions. After the price rose sharply during the day, there has been a significant decline, indicating that the high-level divergence is increasing. In the future, attention should be paid to the health of the agreement asset scale, strategy treasury utilization rate, and position leverage to avoid short-term crowded trading reversal.

Alpha Insights

Morph has launched an enterprise-grade stablecoin payment platform called Morph Payments

On August 12, 2026, Morph Network announced the launch of Morph Payments, a stablecoin payment service for global businesses. Businesses can register with an email and generate a payment link. Customers can pay through different wallets and networks, and the recipient can choose their preferred network. The platform also supports single or batch payments to suppliers, employees, or contractors, attempting to cover the entire process from payment collection to fund distribution.

This product packages cross-chain stablecoin payments in a way that is more similar to the operational experience of traditional enterprise software, helping to lower the entry barrier for merchants and verify the real demand for stablecoins in cross-border settlements and salary payments. However, the speed of arrival is not the only competitive variable. Fiat money deposit and withdrawal, compliance review, refund disputes, accounting treatment, and security risks of different networks will still determine the speed of large-scale adoption.

The CFTC is competing with New York State for jurisdiction over the prediction market

On August 12, 2026, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) used emergency powers to require the prediction market platform Kalshi to continue operating in New York State to counter lawsuits attempting to shut down related businesses. New York State believes that sports event contracts fall under its regulatory jurisdiction and accuses the platform of operating without a license; the CFTC argues that event contracts are interstate derivatives subject to federal regulation and Congress does not intend for them to be subject to fragmented state rules.

This conflict will directly affect whether the prediction market can rely on a single federal license to cover the entire United States, and it may also reshape the legal boundaries of sports event contracts and traditional betting. If federal jurisdiction is supported, the cost of industry expansion is expected to decrease; if state governments win, platforms will need to bear state-by-state licensing, product restrictions, and tax compliance, and market liquidity may be segmented by region.

Oraichain suspends network operation due to cross-chain vulnerabilities

Oraichain disclosed on August 11, 2026, that there was a vulnerability in its EVM cross-chain transfer path, resulting in the unauthorized minting of ORAI. The network has been suspended since August 9, with restrictions on bridge contracts, cross-chain paths, and public interfaces. The team said they have identified and addressed the vulnerability path, are tracking related fund flows, and plan to destroy abnormal minting balances, reconcile accounts, and repair affected protocol states.

The incident once again demonstrates that cross-chain message verification and asset minting permissions are still high-risk aspects of multi-chain systems. Suspending the network can help prevent further losses, but it will sacrifice usability and affect normal users. Before resuming, it is important to observe whether the abnormal supply can be completely rolled back, the third-party audit conclusion, the bridge asset redemption situation, and whether the team has established stricter permission isolation and emergency response mechanisms.
