ME AI News: BYD Co., Ltd. announced that on June 8, 2026, the U.S. Department of Defense issued a “Notice on the Designation of Chinese Military-Industrial Enterprises,” adding the company to the list of Chinese military-industrial enterprises. As the Group is neither a Chinese military-industrial enterprise nor a military-civil fusion enterprise of China’s defense industry, the company believes there is no proper justification for including it on this list. The list of Chinese military-industrial enterprises is not a sanctions list. Being included on the list of Chinese military-industrial enterprises will not affect the Group’s normal business activities, nor will it affect the Group’s business dealings with any party (except the U.S. Department of Defense). The U.S. government procurement restrictions related to this list will not affect the company’s business, and the list of Chinese military-industrial enterprises does not restrict trading of the company’s securities.
