According to The Information, sources say Anthropic may release a new model, Claude Fable, today. The model is described as a safer version of Mythos, retaining some advanced capabilities while adding security restrictions for high-risk scenarios such as cyberattacks. Anthropic previewed Mythos in April this year, claiming it has the ability to discover numerous new cybersecurity vulnerabilities, but it was not directly released due to potential safety risks. As of now, Anthropic has not officially disclosed detailed information about Claude Fable.

Claude Fable sounds like a character straight out of a fairy tale, but it turns out he's working in the dirty job of cybersecurity.

In April, Mythos claimed it could mine 0day vulnerabilities but wouldn’t let anyone use them. Now they’re rolling out a “security” version—turns out Anthropic is playing quite the crafty little game.
