Toncoin announces that the TON token will be renamed to Gram (GRAM) on June 15.

Mars Finance News, June 9th, the voting on The Open Network community on TON Vote has concluded. The results show that 81.22% of participants voted in favor of renaming the network’s native token from Toncoin to Gram, and the token symbol will also change from TON to GRAM. This change will officially take effect at 20:00 (UTC+8) on June 15, 2026. The blockchain itself remains as The Open Network, only the token name, symbol, and icon will change. This adjustment requires no action from users, and there are no token exchanges, cross-chain bridges, claim, or migration processes. Users’ balances, addresses, smart contracts, NFTs, staked assets, and DeFi positions will remain completely unchanged. The voting started on June 1, 2026, and ended on June 8. All ecosystem projects, including trading platforms, are expected to complete updates simultaneously by 20:00 (UTC+8), and achieve ecosystem-wide consistency before June 22, 2026.
