BlockBeats News, June 9 — The community of The Open Network has completed voting on TON Vote. The results show that 81.22% of participants voted in favor of renaming the network’s native token from Toncoin to Gram, and the token symbol will also change from TON to GRAM.

This change will officially take effect on June 15, 2026, at 20:00 (UTC+8). The blockchain itself will remain as The Open Network, with only the token name, symbol, and icon changing.

No action is required from users for this update, and there are no token swaps, cross-chain bridges, claim, or migration processes involved. Users’ balances, addresses, smart contracts, NFTs, staked assets, and DeFi positions will remain completely unchanged.

The voting started on June 1, 2026, and ended on June 8. All ecosystem projects, including trading platforms, are expected to complete updates simultaneously by 20:00 (UTC+8), and full ecosystem consistency is expected to be achieved before June 22, 2026.
