Gate Direct IPO (IPO Access) Service

Gate officially launches the new "Direct IPO (IPO Access)" feature, further expanding the platform's investment product offerings, giving users the opportunity to participate in the subscription phase before a company's public listing. Through this service, users can submit subscription intentions before the company's official listing and receive all, partial, or no allocated shares based on the final allotment results.

After the IPO is completed and shares are successfully allocated, the relevant shares will be directly distributed to the Gate stock account and can be traded through the Gate US stock trading feature, enabling a one-stop investment process from IPO subscription to stock trading.

Gate Direct IPO (IPO Access) Officially Opens

Traditional IPO investments often have high barriers, making it difficult for many investors to access pre-listing subscription opportunities directly. Gate's introduced Direct IPO (IPO Access) aims to establish a complete participation pathway from pre-listing investment opportunities to public market trading.

During the subscription period, users can use USDT to submit subscription intentions. After the IPO issuance results are confirmed, the platform will allocate shares based on the actual allotment received. Successfully allocated shares will be directly credited to the user's Gate stock account and can be traded once the stock is officially listed. Currently, stock trading functionality is supported in App v8.21.5 and above.

First Project: SpaceX

The first project for this direct IPO launch is SpaceX. SpaceX was founded by Elon Musk in 2002, focusing on commercial aerospace technology development, including reusable rockets, satellite network Starlink, and related space technology applications. If it goes public in the future, the relevant shares will be directly integrated into the Gate stock section, providing real stock trading services. Through this IPO Access, users can submit subscription applications before the company's official listing and participate in potential stock allotments.

SpaceX IPO Subscription Information

This IPO Access allows users to participate in SpaceX stock subscriptions using USDT, with a reference subscription price of $135 per share. The final price will depend on the actual IPO pricing results. Users who are successfully allocated shares will pay a 5% subscription fee. Based on the current reference price, the total cost per share is approximately 141.75 USDT, but the actual amount will depend on the final issuance price.

The minimum investment amount is 100 USDT, and a single user can invest up to 500,000 USDT. After completing the subscription intention and successfully receiving stock allocation, the shares will be directly credited to the user's Gate stock account, with no need for additional conversion or withdrawal, and can be traded on the Gate stock market afterward. Additionally, the allocated shares have no lock-up period and will be 100% unlocked upon distribution. Users must update the Gate App to v8.21.5 or above to use the stock trading features.

How to Participate in SpaceX IPO Access

Users can complete the subscription via the Web or App by visiting the event page:

Home → Wealth Management → IPO Access → Select SpaceX → Use USDT to participate → Click “Subscribe Now”

The system assigns higher weights to earlier participants when calculating allocation, so participation timing will influence the final allotment chances.

How Does the Share Allocation Mechanism Work?

IPO Access uses the average locked amount as the main calculation basis. The system will calculate each user's hourly average locked amount during the entire subscription period and allocate shares proportionally based on their share of the total average subscription amount of all participants.

Calculation formula:

Hourly average locked amount = Total snapshot of locked amounts per hour ÷ Total hours of the subscription period (66 hours)

Since the full-period average is used, the earlier a user completes and maintains their lock-up, the higher their weight in the allocation.

For example, three users each invest 100,000 USDT:

  • User A completes their investment in the first hour after the event starts, with an average locked amount of 100,000 USDT.
  • User B invests at the 33rd hour, with an average locked amount of 50,000 USDT.
  • User C participates only in the last hour, with an average locked amount of about 1,515 USDT.

Under the same conditions, earlier investors will have higher allocation weights.

Allocation and Fund Handling Details

This activity is an intention subscription; submitting an application does not guarantee stock allocation. The final result may be full allocation, partial, or none. Actual distribution depends on the IPO's final issuance scale and Gate's actual allotment. The reference price is only for subscription range reference. If the final IPO price differs from the reference price within 20%, the system will directly complete the allocation; if the price change exceeds 20%, a secondary confirmation process will be initiated.

During the subscription period, the involved funds will be frozen by the system and cannot be traded, withdrawn, or transferred. After the allocation is completed, the actual allocated shares will be deducted from the corresponding funds, and unused funds will be automatically unlocked and returned to the spot account. The minimum issuance unit is 0.01 shares, and the system will round or top up according to rules.

Important Notes Before Participating

Before participating in Gate IPO Access, users must complete KYC verification. This activity does not support accounts or funds from the following sources: borrowed funds, institutional accounts, or sub-accounts. Additionally, IPO investments and stock markets carry certain risks, including market price fluctuations, liquidity changes, technical issues, and regulatory impacts. Users should fully understand the project background and related risks before deciding whether to participate.

This activity is an intention subscription mode; submitting an application does not guarantee allocation. The final result will depend on actual issuance and platform allotment.

Summary

With Gate launching IPO Access, users will have the opportunity to access more pre-listing investment opportunities and complete the full process from IPO subscription, share distribution, to subsequent trading on the platform. The first project, SpaceX, a long-anticipated aerospace technology company, marks its first entry into the Gate ecosystem via IPO Access, further connecting crypto assets with global capital markets investment scenarios.
