Zcash completes the Ironwood upgrade plan, expected to be activated in July. BlockBeats news, June 9, Zcash developers have completed the consensus rule changes for the Ironwood upgrade and plan to activate it in July. This upgrade will introduce a new privacy transaction pool based on the Orchard protocol to replace the old Orchard pool, and will adjust mechanisms to ensure the circulation supply of ZEC remains constrained.
Next, three things need to be monitored: whether relevant funds continue to flow in, whether on-chain transaction volume and holdings continue to grow, and whether the project team or regulators provide new confirmation information. A single piece of news can only indicate that sentiment has been ignited; subsequent data will determine whether it can develop into a trend.
Risks should also be considered: according to the developers' plan, Ironwood will introduce a "flag" mechanism between the new and old Orchard pools, restricting the old pool from receiving new transactions while allowing change to be generated, as a privacy protection measure. After the upgrade is activated, the old Orchard pool will be prohibited from receiving new deposits, and wallets will route new transactions to the new pool.
