#SpaceX获大幅超额IPO认购 As SpaceX’s IPO activities continue to advance, sources have disclosed to the media that investor demand for this IPO has reached approximately $150 billion, twice the $75 billion it originally planned to raise. Although, for most highly anticipated listings, a twofold oversubscription rate is a relatively moderate level, most bankers and investors believe that, given this is the largest IPO in U.S. stock market history, SpaceX’s market demand is still impressive. Sources also remind that the company is currently still in the early stages of its marketing process, and investor demand may change before IPO pricing this week. The sources added that some large institutional investors often place orders in the later stages of the IPO process, and the current subscription numbers reflect only potential interest—not the final allocation.
Last week, SpaceX launched a roadshow in an attempt to convince investors that its IPO is an important gateway for investors to enter a new trillion-dollar market driven by space launches, internet connectivity, and artificial intelligence businesses. During the roadshow presentation, SpaceX emphasized the uniqueness of its rocket launch business. The company said that over the past three years, the payloads it has launched have accounted for the vast majority of the total mass entering orbit, while also highlighting the strength of its Starlink internet business.
SpaceX also promoted a market opportunity worth as much as $23 trillion, saying its AI products are expected to seize this opportunity, and noting that it is the only company able to break free from ground-based commercial constraints and build AI computing capabilities using space, which it expects will generate significant market demand in the future. During the roadshow presentation, SpaceX said, “We have significantly reduced the cost of reaching space, thereby expanding the scope of our missions and addressing several urgent challenges facing Earth, including narrowing the digital divide—aiming to connect more than 3 billion people who cannot access the internet to the internet—and to share the knowledge of all humanity.”
