Russia Sanctions British Teen Over Alleged Crypto Laundering Report

Russia's Foreign Ministry sanctioned 17-year-old Alexander Browder and four other British nationals after Browder's report on alleged crypto money laundering. All five sanctioned individuals are banned from entering the Russian Federation. The sanctions followed Browder's March 2026 report alleging that states including Russia, Iran, and North Korea laundered $350 billion in illicit cryptocurrency.
