#StrategyAdds1550BTCatLowerPrices
BITCOIN ACCUMULATION STRATEGY CONTINUES AS STRATEGY ADDS 1,550 BTC AT LOWER PRICES
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, has resumed its aggressive accumulation strategy by purchasing 1,550 BTC for approximately $101 million. This acquisition comes at an average price of $65,332 per Bitcoin, significantly lower than the company's overall average cost basis of $75,680 per coin. The purchase marks a strategic move to capitalize on recent market weakness and lower entry points.
The timing of this acquisition is particularly noteworthy as it follows Strategy's first Bitcoin sale since 2022, where the company sold 32 BTC for approximately $2.5 million. This small sale had created significant market panic and speculation about a potential shift in Strategy's long-term Bitcoin accumulation strategy. However, the latest purchase of 1,550 BTC—nearly 50 times the amount sold—sends a clear message that the company's conviction in Bitcoin remains unwavering.
Strategy funded this purchase through an equity raise of $181 million via its at-the-market stock program, with the remaining proceeds increasing the company's cash reserves to $1 billion. This financial maneuver demonstrates the company's sophisticated approach to maintaining both Bitcoin exposure and operational liquidity.
With total holdings now reaching 845,256 BTC valued at approximately $53.1 billion, Strategy continues to solidify its position as the largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally. The scale of these holdings further reinforces the company's unique position as a publicly traded proxy for Bitcoin exposure.
The market has responded positively to this news, with Bitcoin rebounding above $62,000 after dipping below $60,000. Technical indicators, including the MVRV ratio around 1.1 and low RSI readings, suggest that Bitcoin may be entering an accumulation zone, making Strategy's timing particularly astute.
This purchase reinforces the narrative of institutional confidence in Bitcoin's long-term value proposition despite short-term volatility. By aggressively accumulating during periods of weakness, Strategy continues to demonstrate its unwavering belief in Bitcoin as a strategic treasury asset and long-term store of value.
