Wu Shuo has learned that Saif Faiq, a resident of Missouri, USA, admitted to participating in a conspiracy to rob and kidnap related to Bitcoin assets in federal court in Connecticut. Prosecutors state that in August 2024, the involved gang hijacked a Lamborghini Urus in Danbury, Connecticut, and kidnapped two people inside the vehicle, the victims being the parents of an individual suspected of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin. Investigations show that Faiq was responsible for recruiting participants, traveling locally to plan home invasion robberies and kidnapping operations, and assisting in monitoring the victims to obtain some of the stolen Bitcoin. Faiq has pleaded guilty to "conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act Robbery affecting interstate commerce," which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for August 28. His brother, Adam Iza, previously also pleaded guilty to the same charge.
