🇺🇸🇮🇷 Conflict in the Middle East.

Key events so far:

➥ Israel struck the southern suburbs of Beirut. In response, Iran launched rockets into Israeli territory for the first time since the April ceasefire.

➥ After the Iranian missile strike, Israel attacked military facilities on Iranian territory. Iranian media reported explosions in Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Karaj.

➥ Donald Trump called Benjamin Netanyahu and urged him not to derail negotiations with Tehran, but Israel still carried out strikes.

➥ The U.S. President said that the new strikes between Israel and Iran should NOT derail negotiations to resolve the conflict and reach a peace agreement. At the same time, Donald Trump expressed hope that Israel would not respond to Iran’s latest actions, as a new exchange of strikes could lead to a multi-year escalation.

➥ In Iran, the actions of the United States were called a violation of the ceasefire, and it was stated that Washington is responsible for further escalation in the region.

➥ Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: Due to U.S. support for Israel, American military bases in the region are becoming “legitimate targets.”

➥ In the Gaza Strip, Israel continues its military operation. At the same time, Egypt is holding a new round of talks with Hamas on a ceasefire.

➥ Amid the escalation, Brent crude oil rose above $95 per barrel again, as the market is pricing in the risks of a further intensification of the situation around Iran and the Strait of Hormuz (#oil).
