In my opinion, all human suffering comes from the mismatch between desire and ability. There probably aren't many people who remain in a state of long-term pain due to unfulfilled desires; they either change or, if they realize they can't reach their goals, they will activate an adaptive mode, trying to rationalize internally.

So once a person explores the boundaries of their abilities, they will reduce their own suffering. However, this is not a reason to stop progressing, because once boredom sets in, it becomes a state more painful than suffering. This is also why I have always wanted to learn more different things.
A life without curiosity is too sad.
