Modular chains sound grand, but for users like me who just want to get the task done and leave, honestly: it might mean no longer having to constantly worry about "is this chain secure, will it get stuck, are gas fees suddenly skyrocketing." The experience becomes more like switching to a high-speed highway while the navigation system remains the same. If cross-chain, bridges, and gas fees can be hidden in the background, I’d be willing to increase my interaction threshold a few times and be less deterred by various wallet pop-ups.

However, recently, the set of staking and shared security being criticized as a "copy-paste job," I also feel some resonance. The idea of combining security and returns sounds great, but for ordinary users, it just adds an extra layer of uncertainty—if something goes wrong, no one knows who to blame. Anyway, I’m still just following a travel guide to earn some crypto, first checking the on-chain interaction thresholds, and not getting caught up thinking I’m doing financial engineering.
