A Lonely Story in the Shadow of Gate Square

Sometimes I stand in the middle of a square and look around, and a silent cry rises from within me. Lights flicker, music plays, crowds flow… but beneath it all is the same dull repetition, the same soulless copy.

Gate Square is those moments when you take content painstakingly created by others behind those glittering shop windows and share it without adding a single word, without adding a single thought… That’s where creativity dies, where inspiration quietly retreats to a corner. Like pasting someone else’s brushstrokes onto a painter’s canvas. Like quoting a poet’s line and simply writing “beautiful” underneath. Without shame, without hesitation.

I’m looking for an original breath here. I want an emotion written in someone’s own words, a scene seen with their own eyes, an idea touched by their own hands, someone who gets up in the middle of the night. Informative repetitions are fine, of course. Announcing an event, spreading a campaign is a duty. But if those posts lack any effort, any research, any "I was there and this is how I felt" statement, all that's left is an empty echo.

Isn't that strange? A square with "Gate" in its name... But every original idea that enters through that gate returns disguised, stripped of its soul. It's as if someone is saying, "Don't create, just share." As if creativity is a luxury, and copying is the most practical virtue.

And I, from within that old, somewhat stubborn, somewhat romantic crowd, am calling out:

Please produce something. Even if it's bad, even if it's incomplete, even if it's lacking... Write your own words. Take your own photos. Defend your own idea. When describing an event, say, "I was there and this is how I felt." When sharing a campaign, add, "I think this is why it's important."

Because here, in that great, bright void shimmering in the lights of Gate Square, we are tired of hearing only the echoes of copies.

We want a real story.

We want you to tell your own story.

Even if it's just one word…

But that word must be yours.
