Traditional Finance players storm into Gate Square: Yesterday they were buying gold, and today they’ve already gone all-in on altcoins?

Recently, Gate Square has been looking more and more like a “financial matchmaking corner.”
On the left are TradFi guys in suits, talking about “asset allocation” and “risk hedging”; on the right are chain-culture old greenhands, and when they open their mouths it’s “brother, starting at ten times leverage.”
The funniest part is that the two sides are rapidly blending together.
In the past, traditional finance players viewed Crypto like they were watching a mental hospital; but now that the market heats up, they open K线 faster than interns make PPTs.
Especially recently, more and more TradFi funds have started being active in Gate Square.
The reason is simple:
The stock market is too slow, gold is too dull, and bonds are like sleeping pills.
But in the crypto world—within a minute, people can experience “financial freedom” and “a fresh start.”
When many TradFi players first enter Gate Square, they still carry themselves like financial elites.
Then, after three days:
They start studying MEME;
They stay up late watching on-chain activity;
They ask in groups, “Can this dirt-cheap coin still pump?”
The most outrageous thing is that they’ve even started learning crypto slang.
In the past, it was “liquidity release.”
Now they say, “The庄 is here, brothers!”
What attracts TradFi funds most to Gate Square isn’t just a blow-off surge.
It’s “the flow of sentiment.”
Information moves too slowly in traditional markets.
In the crypto space, sentiment rises first, then prices fly.
Whoever understands the mood first is the one who makes money first.
So more and more traditional players are realizing now that:
Studying earnings reports isn’t as good as studying community hype;
Watching institutional ratings isn’t as good as watching how hard KOLs push the trade.
Even though it sounds ridiculous, that’s reality.
And Gate Square’s biggest advantage is “popularity.”
As soon as a hotspot forms, funds and emotions rush in like a dam breaking.
TradFi players used to care about logic.
Now they’re starting to believe in “FOMO.”
Yesterday they said “the valuation is too high.”
Today they’ve already quietly built positions.
At its core, this shift is that the financial world has begun to turn into entertainment.
In the past, making money depended on information gaps.
Now, making money depends on emotional gaps.
Whoever can feel the market atmosphere fastest is the one most likely to get the first bite of the meat.
So don’t laugh at TradFi players entering the crypto world.
In a few more years, maybe when fund managers meet, they won’t be discussing Moutai—they’ll be talking about which MEME community can stir up the most fun.
After all, the biggest Alpha of this era might not be value investing.
It might be who understands internet sentiment better.
