Marco Rubio: The US-Iran Peace Agreement Announcement Could Be Released Within a Few
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the announcement related to an agreement with Iran that could potentially end the war in the Middle East could be officially announced this week.
“I think there’s a possibility that in the next few hours the world will get good news,” Rubio said.
Rubio said negotiations with Iran have continued to make progress over the past 48 hours. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump previously said that the peace agreement with Iran had been “largely negotiated,” and that an official announcement would be made soon.
The agreement is said to include reopening the Strait of Hormuz as well as efforts to halt the conflict that has sparked major tensions in the Middle East region.
